Hi! I’m sitting on around 1K dust, and I’m thinking about crafting another legendary (alternative is 2x Ice Block, not so sure about this). I already have Sylvanas, and for the next one I was thinking about Tinkmaster or Thalnos.. not so sure about Ragnaros, it doesn’t fit in the deck I play right now (Rogue and Mage). What’s your opinion??

Thalnos is a total boss for both of your decks. In both decks, he can up the damage from your spells and gets you a card when he dies. Both decks benefit a lot from both of these mechanics. He can also be in a lot of other decks, just like Sylvanas. Tinkmaster can also be good, but I think he is not quite as good as Thalnos.

Thalnos will work really well with the decks you are running. Tinkmaster, not so much. I mainly use Tinkmaster as a latch ditch resort to blow through a taunt and finish the game. The change to a 1/1 or 5/5 is supposed to be random but I have done a test and found that the 1/1 gets summoned a lot more. This definitely makes him a lot better even in the early game to remove some big creatures, but the possibility of them becoming a 5/5 is too much to deal with. Bloodmage is an all around great card that can be thrown into a lot of decks. He is just like Loot Hoarder but instead of the additional hit point he brings in the additional spell damage. Spell damage is a great addition to any mage deck.

I personally think that Tinkmaster isn’t replaceable when you want him, but that Thalnos usually is. Both are worth the craft, but my nod goes to Tinkmaster.

I would likely craft Thalnos first. Even outside of Rogue and Mage he’s a staple. Tinkmaster is very good, but I feel slightly overrated at the moment. People also know to play with Tinkmaster in mind nowadays. Can’t really go wrong with either though.

Tink fits a little better into Rogue, where it works to drop a taunt so you can finish off your opponent (that you can, if you’re in the late game, drop Tink, Leeroy and Cold Blood in the same turn, is very nice), but I have to give the slight edge to BT based on a few things:

Yeah, I don’t have any other Legendary (except Antonidas). I will probabily opt for Thalnos.. I have realized that I don’t want to spend money on this game, and I will probabily build my decks with what I find in the packs (of course crafting what I need; but Legendary are a lot more difficoult to find, so maybe it’s better to craft them) and be happy not having the “perfect deck” that I saw in a stream. So Thalnos, who fit in almost all decks, it’s probabily a better choice. Thanks all! :)

The cheaper Legendaries are often overlooked I think. Bloodmage Thalnos, Nat Pagle, Tinkmaster Overspark are incredibly useful cards that tend to be neglected too often for their “shinier” legendary brethren. :)

I’d go for thinkmaster,

Both legendaries are cool and useful in many decks. Each has its own flavour and more or less applies to particular playstyle. However I would go for Tinkmaster because:

- BT is always good but it rarely makes huge difference. At least from my experience, I will rarelysay that I won a game because I had Thalnos in hand. More often than not, it helps me just draw the cards I need faster.

- Tinkmaster offers unique ability which at worse is a silence. Of course you will not try to transform the enemies Knife Juggler when there is a chance to create a stomping dinosaur. Just look at this card as soft removal which is something many decks do not use. You can get rid of nasty legendary (Rag, Sylvanas etc.) or remove the pesky taunt and make the final blow. - something no other neutral card gives.

Uhm.. what about Ragnaros? He is still a must have? Maybe a little bit stronger now with the nerf to aggro?

Apologies for jacking the thread…I’m a Rogue / Druid player. Tink or BT? I play mostly midrange / control.

Personally, I stand by what I posted earlier when it was in regards to Rogue and Mage. BT is going to give you better Swipes, better Wraths, better Starfalls and Starfires. Druid runs the big bodies, which means that aside from Argus’ed Giants, you’re going to be able to get through most everything that stands in the way of you smacking your opponent down.

I’d craft Tinkmaster over Bloodmage Thalnos.
