Assembly Winter is an annual gaming convention in Finland dedicated to eSports. It will take place from January 30th until February 1st and in conjunction with hearthstone.fi, a Finnish Hearthstone site, dedicated to providing the latest in Hearthstone news and community content, they will bring us with the first major Hearthstone LAN tournament of the year!

Back during the closed beta over a year ago, I submitted a couple of articles to IHearthU about the math behind mulliganing your cards. Well, “article” is a little generous; you kinda had to look at the percentages and make sense of them yourself.

Here’s Team IHEARTHU’s weekly Meta ranking. Keep in mind, it’s about which classes and archetypes are played the most, not about which are the strongest. Most of the time, the strongest decks will also be the most frequently played, but that’s not always the case. That’s just part of how the Meta works.

It’s been a while since I’ve written anything here, so I’m going to reintroduce myself for those who didn’t read any of my previous articles. My name is Paulo Vitor, and I’m a professional Magic: the Gathering player who started playing Hearthstone a little over half a year ago.

When the brackets were released for PvP’s third edition of the Tavern Takeover, not many outside of Team IHearthU gave Faramir much of a chance at winning the event. Stuck in the same quarter as Kolento, Strifecro, and Neirea, just getting to the latter stages of the tournament would be difficult. But behind solid preparation and even-keeled play, he was able to put on one of the more impressive tournament performances in recent memory.

Competitive play can be a very exciting aspect of Hearthstone. I am a very competitive player and I love this aspect of the game. The one daunting thing can be the cost of the cards you need to use certain decks. These decks, like Warrior Control are packed with many legendary cards which makes it hard to get started. Today I’m going to go over the budget player’s guide to competitive play and why you should look into playing tournaments.

As the end of the Naxxramas metagame is on the horizon and we're about to experience a whole new metagame, with new matchups, new decks and a ton of new stuff to try, I figured that there's no better way to end the format than with a discussion on the best deck of the Naxxramas metagame and arguably the one that will be the deck to beat in the first few weeks of the new metagame.
