Changes to Nat and Tink
- Posted in: Card Discussion
- Tinkmaster is a neutral card that silences and often shrinks big creatures. This reduces the amount of big, fun creatures in the environment. We think this change will increase the amount fun creatures in the environment, and bring him more in-line with his cost and overall power. Tinkmaster should still show up in certain types of decks, but will no longer be appearing in

It’s a big swing. Tink goes from being one of the more powerful cards to being all but useless. I suppose I am a bit disappointed because I have seen many interesting suggestions to a tink change that would have kept the card viable. Instead, it appears that the designers would prefer to just wash their hands of the card as a whole.
I was really hoping that they would fix this card by removing the RNG completely but apparently they didn’t think it was a good idea. Something like: “Turn selected creature into a 3/3 ______” would work out real well. But instead they did something even better and made the card almost entirely unplayable, much like the free golden Gelbin that they gave us. Congrats Blizzard you have effectively nerfed another card because it “wasn’t fun to play against”. The randomness of the card may have pissed me off but now the waist of the 1600 dust to craft it pisses me off even more. The only consolation I have is that they will hopefully give us the 1600 dust back.
I’m happy for the utter murder of Tinkmaster, it had no place in the game.
Removal minions need bigger drawbacks or conditions. You can play around Black Knight but you can’t play around Tinkmaster.
