Baron Geddon - Useless DE card?
- Posted in: Card Discussion
I don’t see any way how this card could be worth a slot in a deck. Sure, you can say that In control decks it sometimes helps, but I don’t agree here at all. Sometimes? Maybe in 1 out of 100 games yes, but this card is really bad anyways. The problem is that not only it does have pathetic stats, but when it is in play you cannot place other minions on the field because well they are going to have -2 health when you end the turn…
Blizzard calls such cards fun, I call’em - Garbage. It’s a shame that some legendary cards are still called LEGENDARY. When I got Baron Geddon from a pack I wasn’t excited at all. I just thought - Well okay then, game, thanks for extra dust anyways.
For warrior geddon is far more useful than 1 and 100 games. In control vs control u drop him on the board and they are forced to respond to him but running into him or using up removal. Which lets u safely drop your bigger legendary finishers. Hes not a card thats in all deck but he serves a purpose for some decks. Dust him of you like but 400 dust isnt worth lossing a legendary in my opinion

I just lost a control game due to a timely Baron Geddon placement with armorsmith already out and about 3-4 minions on both sides of the board. Geddon did work. I personally am a fan of Geddon, and he’s a crucial card in one of my control priest decks. Please don’t knock the card until you have actually played him. If you’re too scared to place down Geddon then maybe you should just find another card to fill his slot but honestly, he’s a 7/5 body with full board consecrate each turn. This can be extremely useful when you want your opponent to think twice about what cards he wants to play on the board.
