Today I present to you a second episode of Deck Check, which is my regular series where I discuss top deck lists and try them out on a 3 star masters ladder. This time I take a look at the top and most popular deck choice in the current metagame. It’s obviously a Warlock deck, which is a complete powerhouse. This list was designed, tested and approved by ihearthu.com Team DogeHouse represented by ek0p, Nyhx, Savjz and yours truly. It has a lot of untapped potential and is only waiting for your to try it out and burn your opponents to the ground! Enjoy!

  5. love the deck good stuff man thoughts on subbing in faerie dragon for novice engineer? Shaman already has their own ability to pull cards from deck?

    • Seems that dragons will be better vs turn 1/2 spells that deal 2-3 dmg (Holy Smite, Arcane Shot, Frostbolt, etc.), but Novice seems to have better synergy with the deck overall. I’d imagine being forced to start with turn 2 Novice would suck, but the deck is designed so that doesn’t happen, right?

      FD would be a good card to see early tho :)

  8. I only wish I could use my spells on the Faerie Dragons, like Power Overwhelming or Shadowflame, but against Mages the Faeries are really good. :)

  11. im pretty sure that you want to play fairy dragons instead of novice engineer. they are just so good, especialy if you pump them with shattered sun cleric the turn after or later with the dwarf.
    you have carddraw as a warlock anyway, and in such a deck you want to be just agressive. its not like you really need to dick for ragnaros and so on.
     
    i personaly think that the deck is stronger with fairy dragons instead of novice engeniers.

  12. Really nice Deck Check, i played this deck with Lord J instead of Ragnaros and Fearies instead of Novice. Replaces Lord J for Rag, it feels a lot better, but ill stick to my Faeries.

  13. After a yesterday’s tournament I’m also leaning a bit more into playing Faerie Dragons and Leeroy instead of Rag Which is cool, the deck evolves as we speak!

  14. the deck does not evolve as we speak. those were always viable options. faerie just rapes mages and mage is kinda a counter so you aim for the biggest faerie you can get and basicly win by creating a huge faerie dragon

  16. No offense but it just seems like a very unimaginative deck… It’s literally just a smooth gold curve of good critters that out-trade. The neutral buffing minions need to be nerfed… This is getting redic.

  19. And if you don’t have Sylv, what would a good sub card be? :P Because I feel Cairne into Shadowflame is a good combo in itself too, same as Sylv>Shadowflame

    A good sub card would be disenchanting everything to get a sylvanas

  21. What’s your comment on Cairne Bhoof instead of Sylvanas?

     
    Too risky. Sylvanas is too popular and you will have your Cairne stolen from you. Sylvanas is great as s card, the Shadowflame Sylvanas combo is a gimmicky addition based on 1-off cards that rarely happens So it’s not enough of a reasoning to try cairne-flame combo. 

  22. You can have your Sylvanas stolen too, but I guess its better to trade a couple minions off and risk a small minion transfer, instead of an 8/10 to deal with.
