I hate beta testing. Do not misunderstand that statement as meaning that I dislike finding bugs and broken functions, but instead infer that I hate having an opinion of what could have been a phenomenal play experience tainted beyond repair. This is why I regret playing Diablo III as soon as it was released on PC, and it was only because I received it on console as a gift that my faith in that franchise was revived.

Hi all, Lowenhigh here. Though this is my first guest blog post, I am no stranger to IHEARTHU.com (Shout out to the forums!). I am a freakishly good Hearthstone player that always seems to get duplicate legendaries in packs. That’s all you need to know about me for now.

Hearthstone - The name of this game is on every Blizzard and TCG Gamers lips. I constantly see the twitter masses clamoring for beta keys, so that everyone can start laying down their cards. Among the masses are players like myself; we've either played fleetingly with TCG’s in the past, or are straight up new to this kind of game. However, the competitive nature, backed by the track record of Blizzard, draws us to it nonetheless. And this is where the problem arises; we aren't very good.

Lately, there's been a lot of talk about the impact of the RNG in Hearthstone. Many argue that skill and balance play a significant enough role and that the game is balanced. Their take is pretty simple: sometimes the RNG screws you, suck it up, kid.

Now what about the Mogushan Warden? It has the same scaling value as the Sen'jin Shieldmasta, yet it is rarely seen and often shunned on boards and forums. Is the Mogu'shan Warden worth it? I say that is not only is worth it for the right deck, but preferred over the Senjin Shieldmasta in many circumstances.

It’s the late game, and you have a couple decent minions in play. You thought about throwing up a taunt creature, but decided you would play it “safe” and not overextend. Sure, your opponent has a lot of cards and ten mana to play with, but he has nothing on the board and you have a good amount of life left; he couldn’t possibly kill you on the next turn, right?
