I think all of these ideas are great, but I have one question: would legendary in your system have only 200 people total? If so, would people get bumped out as more get in? Or is it just 200 ranks and multiple people can tie for a rank?

Was playing a similar deck and have been trying this out since the video was posted. Definitely a fun and strong deck, though it’s expensive and takes time to learn.

I took this list and made a few tweaks and have been having a lot of fun with it. Here’s the list I’m playing. I’ve gone from rank 13 to 11 with this deck, and even when I lose it’s pretty close. I’d love to fit in a bloodlust somewhere in the deck but I’m not sure what to take out. Maybe one of the Novice Engineers.

I think you’re mixing skill in playing the game and skill in deck building/class selection (i.e. understanding the meta-game). Wasn’t it your choice to switch classes that helped you rise in the ranks? Could you do the same with a hunter deck?

From your article I’m not sure what you mean by “skill.” Do you mean knowing which card to play based on the current situation in the game? Or do you include deck and class selection based on the current meta? How would you say that rank relates to skill?

I agree Rishana. I took this card out of my deck some time ago and haven’t looked back. If they lowered the mana cost it might be easier to combo with other minions, but it’s current form is a waste of space.

Oh thanks Artosis. I didn’t even realize shield slam was a card. I guess I’ve just never seen it used and haven’t bothered looking at full warrior card lists ever. I’ll craft a couple and try it out. That would be pretty ideal to save a high power swing or to delay in order to get greenskin out for a +1/1

Another bad Huntard who used OTK on Turn 7. Just passed on every round, except using an explosive trap one round. I think these players are the lowest common denominator.

Since ranked mode is changing with the next patch, you can play it whenever you want. After the patch there’s no reason not to play ranked since you won’t lose a rank from losses until the upper rankings, and the ranking resets each month.

Only downside to the updated deck list that I can see is that it’s so packed with legendaries. I’d love to try it out but there’s no way I’ll have all those cards anytime soon, and by the time I do I’m sure the metagame will have shifted. Oh well!
