Hello,
I just watched your episode on youtube, I’ve a question about the druid-shaman match with doa,
sorry for spoiler, would not it be better to play around black night, copying, azure drake instead of devilsaur?
and save the rockbiter for alakir?
Heya Lewo,
Thanks for the comment! After re-watching that play, I would agree with you. It is a close call though as Kobi was going for a full board clear and hedging his bets that the 6/6 taunt would hold. Since it was only turn 7, the odds were still fairly strong that Doa had not yet drawn Black Knight into his had yet. Unfortunately for Kobi the chad had been drawn. Also, if he were to have copied the drake and saved rockbiter, it would have left the defender on board for Doa. I think Kobi felt safer overall wiping the board clean.
I recently got into the show and I have to say it’s very enjoyable especially with entertaining and competent guest features like DOA. Thanks for putting so much work into this!
Thanks Kendric!
We have been having a lot of fun with the show and are happy that you are enjoying it! We have a very fun show with some new twists planned for next week and are working on lining up more great guests for upcoming episodes. Thanks for watching!
Thanks guys! Yeah Tarn is right, at 18 health with Druid being so strong in the late game I felt I needed to clear the board. Also, don’t forget that while I was hoping my 6/6 Tauntasaur would stay alive - at worst if I bated out the black knight it would make the situation a lot safer for my Al Akir. Equally important is the consideration that after testing the board if he didn’t have the black knight i would want to get out Al Akir out ASAP and get even more value. Its easy to look back after the fact and consider playing around black knight and that is certainly a valid thought which players should consider but there are other considerations.
